We are looking for a way to present a form to a client (who is not a user in our Confluence Cloud system) and have the review and electronically sign a document for approval. Is this possible without them being a Confluence Cloud user?

Can you describe a bit more of your use case, and what level of assurance you need that the "right" person signed the form?

I'm asking because there is a big difference between approval processes.  For example in Document Control you can require a user to provide a secret code for each approval, in addition to login.

Other approval processes just require to type in your email.

That said, the Confluence solutions I know of require login in order to identify who signed.

The idea for this is that we create a work order or change order for a client system, and they can read and accept the work order (or planned outage, or some other form we want them to acknowledge).

The problem I see is that either the Confluence site is public, and then the work orders are public; or the site is closed, and then only Confluence users can see the work orders.

If you want to keep the work orders private, the clients must already be Confluence users?

A far better solution is PDFs with digital signatures. This not really a problem Confluence can solve.
