change of the url of the products

Michele Benito Vitariello June 17, 2023
Hello, I would like to know why I can't change the URL of my product site.

I noticed that the "update url" button is greyed out. How could I proceed?
For me it is essential because my company name has changed, and I need to change the URL of my products.

Thank you

Have you tried in a different browser or in incognito mode? Could it be a CSS error rendering the button unclickable?

I have the same problem. I'm both organization admin and product admin. But the button is greyed out. I'm not sure if I have changed the subdomain before, I don't think I did, but if I did, then probably only once, but not 3 times.

@Michele Benito Vitariello sorry, have bot been super-active the past two weeks. OK, so none of the above worked. What plan are you on? Free, Standard, or Premium? Also, are the Organization Admin in your instance?

As a refresher, these are the two types of admins:

Site Admin:

Site admins can perform these site operations:

  1. Access the site's Admin at https://admin.atlassian.com.
Make other users' site or product admins.
  2. Site settings so that it displays your company's branding and image.
  3. Administer users for your site, meaning you can invite, remove, and export users, among other things.
  4. Groups and product access, meaning you can update settings for how users get access and adding users to groups.

Organization Admin:

  1. Access your organization at admin.atlassian.com.
  2. Make other users organization admins.
  3. Verify or remove domains for your organization.
  4. Subscribe to Atlassian Access and apply security policies on managed accounts.
  5. Managed accounts, meaning you can edit details and deactivate or delete accounts, among other things.

Hi Andy, first of all thank you for the support and help you are giving me. So I tried to change both browser and incognito mode, but nothing. What else could I do?

Thank you

@Michele Benito Vitariello how many times have you changed your product URL? There is a 3 time limit for updating product URL's - is it possible you hit the max already?
