cannot add user to any Confluence SPACE, picker is not working

I already have 2 accounts created today, who are not found by the Picker when I'm trying to add those users to any Confluence SPACE
user has the right Confluence APP

@Jean Horn  license and product-access check is definitely the right first step. Since these accounts were created just today, Verify whether the users have actually accepted their site invitations, as Atlassian documentation notes that unaccepted users won't show up in space-permission pickers.

Try searching for them by their full email address rather than just their display name. Also, if your site uses an identity provider or SCIM, keep in mind that provisioning and group syncs can sometimes take up to two hours.

👋 Hi @Stéphan Lenglart !

Have you checked if the user you'd like to search has the correct Confluence license in the site's administration panel?

You can follow these steps:

1. Go to admin.atlassian.com 

2. Select the Users section.

3. Find the user you would like to select, and see if they have a Conflunce license.

This way we can ensure that the user has the necessary license.

user has the right Confluence APP(and I just tried the workaround, using a group and it worked...) but I need a real fix..

Here are some other important points to check...

 

User Status

  1. Navigate to⚙️Administration > User management.
  2. Check if the user's status is "Active". If it's still "Invited", the user must access their email inbox to accept the invitation.

    If they cannot find the invitation, you can use the "Resend invitation" option.

Global permissions

Add the Browse users and groups permission to the affected user:

  1. Navigate to ⚙️Settings > System

  2. Under Security, select Global permissions.

  3. Grant the Browse users and groups permission to a group that matches the affected user.
    1. You may first need to add the affected user to a group that suits your organization's needs.

These points are also essential to avoid the problem you are experiencing.
