Hello,
I am creating a collaborative table to inventory all issues we face on several subject.
I'd like to create a validation rule that prevents collaborators from creating a line regarding an issue that already exists.
I'd like to have a validation rule that obligates users to add a different value to the column #issue, so that they'll know that someone already documented it ?
Is it possible ? If it is not native, is there a way to do so thanks to a work around. For instance by creating another view
Hi @Paul ROUVELLOU ,
Question - are you using Confluence Databases or simple tables on pages/live docs?
Both currently do not support things like unique identifiers, but there's a feature request for the latter (databases): CONFCLOUD-79004: Improvement for confluence databases with unique identifier functionality
As for native tables, you could maybe sort by work item name, or use search functionality (I mean, users could), but there's a huge room for error. 😕
Alternatively, you could use Confluence Automation and/or Rovo to do a 'cleanup' once someone edits the page or adds new entry. I have not tested this, but it would seem feasible that Rovo (or automation) would scan the page/changes and then 'merge' if someone added a duplicate thing 🤔
Cheers,
Tobi
As far as I know, there are no validation rules for these tables.
