In Jira Service Management Help Center, the portal/topic card summary seems to be automatically generated from the first N characters of some text.
Is it possible to define a custom summary per topic/portal (topic by topic), instead of using the default snippet?
If yes, where can I configure it?

Are you referring to topics that are actually group of request forms, KB articles and external resources? So, this: Create and manage topics in a help center
If so, you can add/update the topic summary and description once you create and start configuring it:
