articles linked in landing pages leave strange breadcrumbs

Hi,

In JSM, I am making use of landing pages to better categorize topics in my help center.

I linked the landing page directly into the help center portal and so far the breadcrumbs look correct (help center portal / landing page). But when I add a link to an article in the landing page and I click it, the breadcrumbs change (help center portal/ project from where the article is from / article). Is there a way to better organize this hirearchy? the breadcrumbs ultimately lead to the main portal, but I want it to be able to go back to the landing page instead.

If I got this correctly, I believe this is a known limitation, and here's the link for the open bug: JSDCLOUD-15360: Inconsistent Breadcrumbs for Knowledge Base articles added to Topics in Help Center 
As stated in the bug, there doesn't seem to be a smart workaround you could use.

If I missed my point here, can you maybe explain in detail what you're referring to (screenshots* would be helpful)?
*just keep in mind that this is a public forum, so consider that when sharing private or confidential data
