after completion of the confluence install using the restore from backup option...

tables are blank

there is no data to be found in any of the CWD tables and the app registers an error when trying to log in.

is there an easy solution to the login issue.

Hi, welcome to the Community!

What version of Confluence was your backup originally taken from? Did it use external user management? How was the backup taken?

When you say blank - do you mean that all tables starting with CWD in the database simply have no rows? Or do you mean that they also have no columns as well?

It's possible to give Confluence a startup flag that enables a temporary admin user: Use recovery mode to restore access . This will get you in the application, and at least let you take a look at the User management inside the application to look for clues.
