Hello altogehter, we have a severe problem here.
We are working with confluence 5.6 and office 2013.
We upload word documents in many documentations. I myself can open them in office directly out of confluence.
Two of my collegues have the problem, that the get an error message from word, if the try to open it via "open in office" from confluence: Word tells the path and the name of the file followed by "couldn`t be opened".
This strange behaviour also occurs, if my collegue upload a document itself and then try to open it!
Do you have any idea?
What we already tried: Changed browsers, give new passwords,
Dear @Sabine Bamboschek-Keller,
when I understand you right, your colleagues want to open the document in Word and save back without uploading again, right?
Therefore you need to make the browser plugin WebDAV work, that comes with Confluence. Eventually, some compliance settings blocks installing this plugin, or your browser is not supported.
Tell me, if you need more help.

Dear Thomas,
I know that and the WebDAV is implemented.
The system works as aspected on my computer and also on the computer of my employee. On two computers it does not work.
We all use the same browsers (IE11), we resetted and restartet the systems.
We are in the same confluence groups.
Neverthelesse it don`t work. No more ideas what to check.
Do you have some?

Dear @Sabine Bamboschek-Keller,
how you describe, it has nothing to do with Confluence. It will be a problem of the accessing computers.
Please let one of your colleagues log in on your computer and open a Word document. If it works, user restrictions / permissions can be excluded.

Dear @Sabine Bamboschek-Keller,
have you solved your problem meanwhile? What was the root cause?
