In Confluence Wiki (on prem 8.5.12), I have suddenly become unable to adjust table column widths, my mouse cursor will not change into the column width edit mode when hovering over a columns border. This happens on all Spaces, Pages, and Tables, even new pages made from scratch with new tables I create, where I can add/remove columns/rows, just not adjust the column widths.
I have cleared the cache on my Edge browser and done a Reset, the problem still exists. I've also done the same with the Chrome browser, and the same problem exists. Both browsers are up to date. I've checked with two of my colleagues and they are both able to edit the column widths of the same tables I try to edit. What might the problem be?
@Greg Loop - I had this same problem. When I started in safe mode I could use the table column width adjuster but not with normal boot up. I went through the tedious process of starting up my Surface Pro windows services one at a time to find out which one caused the problem. Turns out if I turn off the "Sensor Monitoring Service" on my Surface Pro the table adjuster works in Confluence. Seems like it is something to do with the way confluence works with table adjustment and use of sensors on tablet based devices might be a problem. Would be interested to know if you are using a tablet enabled device such as Surface Pro or similar 2 in 1. Give it a try.
@Greg Loop Welcome to the Atlassian community
There is not a setting in Confluence that would prevent this. Have you tried on a different computer? Have you had your colleagues try on your computer? It sounds like it is something to do with your computer, maybe antivirus, etc., that is preventing something from loading.
