I have created a new team calendar, but no flexibility in choosing the color to distinguish between various group of events. There were icons, but that is not easily distinguishable on other confluence pages. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
This seems to be a long running issue since ages and from several users. Why atlassian is not making any attempt to fix it 😟.

When you create an event type, you can set its color by selecting the (...) menu next to the event. This will apply that color to all events of that type on the calendar so you can distinguish between them.
