Why has the color of the notification badge become lighter?

Since around 11th June, the badge that overlays the bell in the top right of the Confluence screen has become so faint that it looks like no notifications are coming through at all. Isn't this an update that lowers usability? I asked Rovo, and they said it can't be customized, so I really want them to bring it back to the original tone.

This appears to be an unannounced UI update, as Atlassian has been rolling out various refreshes across their Design System.

Your point regarding contrast and visual accessibility is entirely valid, so I highly recommend sharing this feedback directly via the Give feedback button inside Confluence or checking jira.atlassian.com  (I checked myself for you and found nothing, as this appear to be lately changed) to see if a suggestion tracker has already been created for this change.
