Why does Chrome freeze when adding action items?

I have been using the meeting notes template in Confluence recently and I noticed that my browser (Version 96.0.4664.45) will freeze whenever I try to add an new action item from the page edit screen.  
Is anyone else experiencing this?  Is there some workaround?  I really like using the action items with my team but for the moment I am stuck.

Hi @Devon van de Kletersteeg 
Its working fine for me on the the same version of Chrome. If you have any extensions installed on chrome, you may try disabling them and see if that makes any difference.

My Chrome does not have this problem, have you tried yours in "safe mode" (no active plugins) or with another browser?  Do you get errors there?

I removed "Read aloud" and "Google Keep Notes" extension and the issue has disappeared.
