Why do images show “Preview unavailable” when exporting a Confluence page to PDF?

When I export a Confluence page that contains images, the images appear as “Preview unavailable” in the downloaded PDF.

I also tried downloading the images and re-uploading them directly using the image upload option within the page, but the images still do not appear and only a loader icon is shown.

Can somebody help with that?

Hi @Harpreet Kaur ,

This is a known issue and there is no workaround at present. There is already a Bug ticket. Vote and watch for the updates.
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-83294

Workaround
Export to word and convert the file into PDF

Hi!

I've had this problem especially with a HAIC format for images. If you need a quick fix consider changing the format, this should solve your problem for now.

Hope it helps!
