Why deprecate the Gallery macro?

Why would you deprecate the Gallery macro? It is the easiest, most elegant way to display images on a page. You really want us to insert tables and then insert images into it? That is truly going backwards!

I can use neither macro, as they are only offered with the Premium version. So, therefore, Confluence offers no option to display images in the version our company uses. Poor service, frustrating platform! For all the features that make sense and make this software a truly usable tool, Atlassian is charging twice the licensing fee. The community spirit!
