Expands are extremely useful with condensing and structuring a lot of info within a page. I currently use Tabs to make my pages flow easily but i really need expands to work within these tabs. Currently, when i insert an expand in a tab, it usually gets inserted outside of tab, which does not work for me. On some occasions, i can get it to insert within the tab but it will not expand after publishing.
could you add this as feature ask? There needs to be a way to collapse information within a tab. In general, the tabs are a great feature but their use creates too many restrictions such as inability to have use 'include page' macros. please add this.
No i am on the new editor, we upgraded in December. Previously expands were allowed within tabs but not after the upgrade. However, i saw there was an enhancement to tabs recently and tried it out and was able to add multiple expands within tabs but after publishing, the actual expand selection would not work. Must be a bug.

@Stephen Ignacio Welcome to Confluence.
If you are using Tabs, you must be on the old editor. Tabs was removed in the new editor.
In general, the only content that can exist in a tab or expand macro is rich text. Formatting macros cannot exist inside of a Tab or Expand - it will either default to rich text or will not render.
