Why am I unable to update favicon?

When I try to update the favicon, I get a 500 response and redirected to the "Oops - an error has occurred" page. These are the headers for the request and response.

It's an ico file with transparency at 120x120. I've also tried a PNG with the same result.

Thank you for contacting us about this. Indeed, when I test in my instance, I have the same problem.

I have investigated further and I discovered this has been raised as a bug:

At this time we do not have a workaround. Please click This affects my team on the bug, and you will automatically receive updates on this going forward.
