Why am I receiving a disconnect message?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

Confluence is stalling and giving the message, "We've lost our connection to you, so we've disabled editing to prevent any issues. You'll be able to edit once we reconnect. Trying to reconnect." I'm hoping to understand why this might be happening and what I can do.

Hi @Lisa Gudenkauf Welcome to the Atlassian Community! I have seen such issues sort out on it own after a while, which may arise due to network glitches or due to changes in your company managed network firewall rules/proxies. As mentioned by Bill you can submit a support ticket if you continue to face this issue even after some time.

There are two possible reasons for that message:

  • Cloud server loading
  • Your Internet connection to the server

The only "solution" may be to just wait an hour or two see if the isses resolve themselves. If it continues, you need to file a support ticket.
