I have been invited to use Confluence and I'm supposed to request access but I can't locate on the Confluence page where I should request access.
Hey @Ryan Davis welcome to the community and to Confluence
Confluence is a bit annoying with this, there isn’t a general "Request Access" button on the dashboard. You usually only see it when you try to visit a specific link you aren't allowed to see yet.
If you have a link to the page or "folder" (they’re called Spaces), click it. You’ll hit a lock screen with a big blue Request access button right in the middle.
If you're just staring at a blank home screen, you can't really request anything from there. Your best bet is to ping ask your colleague or your admin to add you to the specific Space permissions manually.
Hope this helps.
Maybe it sounds dumb, but the best way is usually to request access directly from the space admin 😉🤠
The Access Request button is... meh.

@Ryan Davis You say that you were invited to use Confluence. Did this invitation come in the form of an email inviting you to create an Atlassian account and access your Atlassian products? For example, this is the email I received 3 years ago when my boss invited me to our instance:
I just clicked Join the team and went through the prompts to set up my account. According to this page https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/invite-a-user/ :
When you invite a user, you’re inviting a specific email address to your organization. This email address may already be associated with an Atlassian account, which the user can use to log in to your organization. If the email address isn’t associated with an Atlassian account, we’ll help the user create one.
So, if you received an email, you either already have an account set up or it will lead you through creating one. The admin should have assigned you access to at least 1 Confluence space.
If, instead, someone just told you to request access to Confluence, you should ask them who your Atlassian or Confluence admin is and what Confluence space(s) you need access to, so that you can contact them. They should then go through the process in the page linked above, which will result in you getting the email.
If you are on a page that looks like this:
You are logged in to Confluence already. Use the Spaces list to select the space you want to view/work in.
Once you have access to Confluence, you will see the Request Access button in 2 situations:
EDIT: Forgot to mention that this all applies to Cloud; I do not have experience with Data Center.
