Hello,
I am migrating some (mysql) database clusters.
Last database remaining is the Confluence one.
For hours I am trying to find an article or thread in the community about explanation in which config file is the db connection information so I can simply go and edit the db host parameter.
I found tons of information on migrating both application AND database, but nothing on simply editing the existing config.
I am not interested in moving back and forth any attachments, reinstalling tomcat or whatsoever.
Confluence or mysql is not being upgraded either - the versions remain untouched.
I simply have dumped my Confluence DB from the old server, restored it on the new one.
But how exactly to "tell" my EXISTING Confluence to start using the new DB host, please? :)
Thanks in advance.
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Yes, it's not obvious where it is up-front, most docs talk about the setup, not changing it.
But the first hit on search engines that tells us is https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/migrating-to-another-database-148867.html - see the note box near the top.
Thank you, @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- for the response!
At the same time I ran a find on my CenOS app server.
All the time before that, I was searching for the file in /opt/atlassian and not in /var/atlassian... that explains why I did not find it :)
Guess I've confused confluence-home with catalina-home... :)
Thanks again!
