When inserting the "page index" function into a page, the width of the index is too wide for display

Deleted user January 28, 2022

When inserting a /pageindex into a confluence cloud page, it outputs the name (and description) of all the pages in a space, alphabetically sorted.
This function is ideal, however the display is not.
You are given the option of the three widths of display, but the content displayed doesn't conform to that, so you will always need to scroll sideways to see the full content.
Is there a fix so that the index can be spaced appropriately for the display size?
I would also like a select option in set up to have the page excerpts/summaries displayed or not- rather than alway displayed.

Hi Pramodh, that's not the "/pageindex" that shows the alphabetized list of all pages in the space. See image below, I've just blurred some sample content, but you can see the issue with side scrolling.Screen Shot 2022-02-01 at 11.58.51 AM.png

Hi @[deleted]

Can you try limiting the macro width with available options?

Let me know

I've tried all three sizes. It only limits the display window size, but as mentioned in the initial post, doesn't change the index max scale- as you can see when you have more than a handful of pages it doesn't max-out to the width chosen, you still have to scroll.

@Pramodh M Any suggestions or timelines for a solution to this issue?

If it's a new editor you are working with, please raise the Atlassian Support Ticket and check with the team, probably a bug or you will get a workaround

If it's the old editor, change it to the new editor and check once

Thanks,
Pramodh
