When I try to use "Widget Connector" In Confluence I am getting error-- Timeout While Getting Place Holder. Please try again Shortly. May I know the root cause for this ? we are on 6.4.0 version.

Hello Srinath,

What in particular are you trying to embed using the Widget Connector? If it's a YouTube video, some users have had success by adding \\ to the end of the YouTube URL.

If not, could you tell us if you're behind a firewall or proxy? If you bypass the firewall/proxy, are you able to use the Widget Connector?

Lastly, can you tell us what error messages occur in the Confluence server logs when you run into that error?
