Good day!
I'm interested about my server requirements, I've seen the documentation regarding server requirements, ( https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/server-hardware-requirements-guide-30736403.html ) but I am wondering on how can I be sure that my server is good enough?
The reason I am asking is that I am receiving frequent issues where my site is not responsive or takes a while to load. The issue I believe is on server side because I test other sites for while my Confluence site takes a while to load and the other sites load faster.
Below are some details that may shed some light into my issue.
Operating System | Windows Server 2012 R2 6.3 |
OS Architecture | amd64 |
Application Server | Apache Tomcat/8.0.41 |
Servlet Version | 3.1 |
Java Version | 1.8.0_112 |
Thanks!
I believe you need to provide more info on your system resources. Like how much physical memory you have and how much you have allocated for JAVA heap and number of CPU's on the host and types of HDD /SSD drives you have and also type of server you use (virtual vs physical) and the number of concurrent users accessing the confluence at peak hours and number of user base , spaces, plugins etc. performance tuning is altogether a big topic but you should keep enough resources before going for further tuning
Hi Shankar!
1. Allocated for Java heap - 4096 mb
Used 3001
Unused 1094
2. number of CPU's - 1
3. types of HDD/SDD drives - I can't find out
4. virtual server
5. Peak user count - 50
6. user base - 500
7. spaces - 12/16
8. plugins - 249
Hope these details will help.
Thanks!
