Hi,
I need to migrate Confluence from AWS to On-premise.
1) I installed same version on my new server and installed MySQL on a DB server.
2) Took a DB dump from EBS and imported it into my new DB server using Workbench
3) Now, how do I copy the attachments that is on the File system to my new installation?
I would have SCPed / rsynced the dir over the network but the challenge here is the size. I got 480gig of attachments!!
How do I copy the attachments onto my new Confulence's Home directory, so that I can proceed with the installation steps.. I am really stuck here.. Please help
** Current Confluence Version – 5.9.8
Hi Hitesh,
Have you looked into Amazon Snowball? Amazon will load the data onto a device they ship to you and you can attach it to your local network. There is a cost for this service, but it's an option to look at if you're not having luck with rsync. https://aws.amazon.com/importexport/
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your response.. Yes, I am aware of that option. I just wanted to explore if there is any option other than Snowball. FYI, when I try rsync, this is the error I am seeing
rsync: change_dir "/var/atlassian/application-data/confluence" failed: Permission denied (13)
What do you think is the problem? I am assuming, it is because of the permissions over the Home Directory 'Confluence'. Could you please suggest me a workaround that can fix this problem?
Thank You
