Hi,

we have a problem with watch notifications on our Confluence Cloud instance. One specific page does not trigger any email notifications when it is edited, while notifications for all other pages work fine.

Details:

  • Multiple users are affected – at least two different accounts confirmed the issue

  • All users have "Watch" enabled on the page

  • Individual notification settings have been verified and are correct

  • Notifications for other pages in the same space work as expected

  • The page has a very high number of versions (800+), which might be relevant

What we already checked:

  • Watch is active on the page

  • User notification preferences are configured correctly

  • Emails are not being filtered to spam

  • Other pages send notifications normally

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could the high version count be causing this? Is there a way to fix this without recreating the page?

Thanks in advance!

@Tobias Engelke I make frequent changes to our Confluence documentation, and I often clear the Notify watchers via email checkbox when publishing minor updates to a page so that any watchers are not flooded with emails. Have you asked the person updating the page whether they have this checkbox selected?
