Viewing Groups that Users are Assigned To

Will Baltazar January 10, 2024

Is there a way to look up the groups that users are assigned to w/o being a site or organization admin? I'm aware of the user list macro to view the users given I know the group name. How about the other way around? I'm asking specifically for Confluence, but it probably doesn't matter JIRA or Confluence.

Unfortunately no, at least not OOTB. What I would recommend is establishing a process, whereby all groups are documented and under change control. The administrator should be doing this by the fault in reality. However, many organizations are not quite that formal. Regardless, that is an important process To ensure issues do not arise if an admin leaves the position.
