Version of global templates

Hello!

we' re using Confluence since few months. Right now we' re creating a lot of spaces and global templates. Especially for our different version of templates we' re looking for a solution.

Is it possible to place a uneditable content on a global template? This content is only editable in the settings (global blueprints and templates) by confluence admins. In contrary the confluence user can't see the version in the edit mode, while creating a knowledge element. This is necessary for us! Otherwise when the version/content is editable the confluence user probably delete accidentally the version. 

Do you have any idea to solve our problem?
