Using the /searchv3/1.0/search REST API to find modified pages: the lastModified parameter

Howdy,

I am using the REST browser ( https://confluence.example.net/istance/plugins/servlet/restbrowser#/ ) and have encountered a non-documented private API to search pages that were modified before the specified date.

The API is

/searchv3/1.0/search

and this API contains the lastModified parameter that obviously allows one to specify the desired modification date.

Could somebody please help with the following:

1. What date format is supported by the lastModified parameter?
2. Is there an API to specify the date range (say, I want to find pages that were modified between the 1st of October and the 7th of December)?
