Hello,
We have two spaces in the old Confluence Server. We need one admin login to be able to edit just one of the two spaces. Currently, if that user adds content to one space it is also seen in the other space. How can we restrict access or permissions so the articles that one user creates won't show in the other space?
What do you mean "content in one space is also seen in the other space"?
Confluence doesn't do that. Content in a space is in a space. People can see content.
Your image is what someone gets when they've recently visited two spaces that they can see. "Recent spaces" is a list of the spaces they've recently visited.
So I'm not sure what you mean by "content in one space seen in another"
Hi Nic,
Thanks for your response. What is mean is, if we label two items with the label "Video", then it shows in both of the spaces that we have. We want the user to be able to use the "Video" label and only have it appear in one space and not the other. Does that make sense?

Ok, that's not "showing content in another space". It's "showing links to related pages"
What you're seeing is a macro doing exactly what it says it does - it is showing you a list of pages that are related to the current page, by dint of having one or more labels in common. It's not intended to be limited by space, that would stop it being of any real use for what it is intended for!
I think you've used the wrong macro here, as you don't really want to see related pages. You want a automatically curated list of pages by label, which you can do with the "Content by label" macro.
With that macro, the most basic use is that it will simply list all pages with "video" as a label. Obviously, that's no better than the "related content" macro for you, but the "content by label" has a load of filters you can apply, one of which is "spaces" and within the "spaces" filter, you can apply the name of a specific space, personal or site spaces only, the current users favourite spaces, or the one I think you want - current space

The "content by label" macro plus the filters worked wonderfully well! It solves half of the problem. Now, we need a way to have the URL for related content filter to a specific space? For Example, we need the video at the top of the list in Image Confluence3 "Watch a Video About the OR Mobile App" in the OR space to not show up when we click "Click Here to see all articles with a video" on the Innovations space (ie, we need to use some sort of current space filter in the url, like we are doing with the label filters). Do you kno if this is possible? If so, what is the format for the url to direct Confluence to the correct space AND the correct label when clicking the "Click here to see all articles with a video"? We've tried adding the space name and the label to the URL with no luck. Here is one of the many URLs we've tried: https://dciconfluenceprod.dcisoftware.com/label/video/ORPD/Oregon+PTC+DCI
We know how to make the URL pull up the correct label, but adding the space to the URL in a way the URL recognizes the space is proving to be a challenge. That is where we need help now. Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks so much for your help!!
