Using Basic Auth in Confluence Cloud REST API causes Internal Server Error

See stacktrace below.

Only thing that works for me is using `Cookie: cloud.session.token=XXX`.

Any idea why `Authorization: Basic base64(email:password)` does not work?

 

javax.servlet.ServletException: Filter execution threw an exception

...

root cause:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.atlassian.crowd.embedded.api.CrowdService.authenticateWithHostname(Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;)Lcom/atlassian/crowd/embedded/api/User;
	io.atlassian.sessionservice.client.seraph.SessionServiceAuthenticator.getUser(SessionServiceAuthenticator.java:97)
