My anchors are not working. I want to create the option to have links take you to a specific part to a different confluence page. When i set anchors up, they take you to the top of the page, but not to the specified section. Are their any example videos of how to complete this process?
Hello Danielle.
Anchors were just recently brough back to Cloud. Are you following the format in the documentation?

Notice the format of + in spaces of page names. Here is the link to the docs:
Hi @Danielle Alexander and welcome to the community!
My anchors works quite well. I just follow what's written here. I would suggest that you do as the documentation states, and when trying it out to just simply wait for the page to load.
Of course the page id, name and anchor will be different to you.

i just walked through those steps again, and I'm not sure what I'm missing. It still only takes it to the actual page not the specific section. https://share.getcloudapp.com/Z4urb66m

Did you place the anchor #Sprout-Link-In-Bio on the target page? Sorry for asking, but it wasn't on the video.

@Danielle Alexander hopefully you saw my video, where anchor link worked.
Two things I can think of:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Tried a few things, i deleted everything and started over following the steps and your videos https://share.getcloudapp.com/kpu69nKj (also included adding the anchor). I also included showing you there is room under the anchor. In addition, I tried manually typing the name of the page in, instead of the link. That gave me the edited mode link. https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAuG0nAl

That's because the target page is in draft. You have changes that you didn't save. Publish the page and try again.

i ensured it was published and closed out of the pages and tried it again. still not working, it still says draft when i type the name. In addition, I'm not sure if this is linked. When i click on titles in the table of content, it will not always jump me to the section on my pages.

If you try to create the anchor on a new page, and link from another new page, do you encounter any problem? Is this the only page with the anchor problem, or this happens to all pages of your confluence instance?

https://share.getcloudapp.com/4guPwZg2 ok i tried it on another page and it looks like it worked! so it has to be the page. Would this mean the fix is to rebuild the pages that don't work?

One more question. Do you wait for the page to fully load and see if that anchor link works?
Concerning the fix about this, tbh this shouldn't happen in the first place. Perhaps, if you are on a paid plan, you could head on to Atlassian support and create a support request. Most probably they will get to the bottom of this. Perhaps a fresh copy of the page (create new page and paste everything from the old page) could do the trick.

yes i waited for the page to fully load on the 1st page i tried, it didn't load. Ive been trying over the last 2 months on the sproutlink page. How do i get to the atlassian support, lol. I though this was it. Also i really appreciate you helping me. Push come to shove I can copy and paste to a new page.
