User-specific settings for Confluence Search

Deleted user July 24, 2017

Hi there,

Our company has several different Confluence Spaces due to branching software versions. We want to enable users to set up their own global search preferences, so that when they search from the top-bar search, they only get the results for the Space(s) that they care about.

Is there a native functionality for this in Confluence, and if not, is there a third-party plugin with this functionality?

Hello J. King,

There's not currently a way to limit the global search bar to a specific space, even for a specific user.

We do have a long-standing feature request to be able to configure global search more, but there aren't currently any details on if or when this might be implemented

Please let us know if you have any questions about this!

Kind Regards,
Shannon

Thanks Shannon. These feature requests are quite old-- 11 years!-- and we have a more urgent need for this functionality. Are there any third-party plugins that have it?
