Hi, I have 2 email accounts under the same company, and I would like to merge them in Atlassian.

Can you teach me how to get this done?

Hello @Hazel Kwon Hyesung

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

It is not possible to merge Atlassian Cloud accounts.

There is an open change request about that here, to which you can add your vote.

Hi @Hazel Kwon Hyesung

I understand that you have, effectively, two seats within your Atlassian organization (or a single product such as Confluence).

A lot of depends on how those accounts were created. For example, two Atlassian orgs (or apps) were merged following one company acquiring another. (This is exactly what happened at my previous company).

Another factor - how were these accounts created? You may have one account that's based on your company's SAML SSO, the other one is email-based. That can happen.

The best course of action is to raise the issue with your Atlassian admin (typically your IT dept, DevOps, Infrastructure) and tell them to resolve the issue.

Accounts are (or should be) managed centrally.

Hi Hazel!

Adding to what Trudy said, you could open a ticket to Atlassian Support asking for the merge of these accounts. You will need proof of ownership for both of them (mainly, having them managed under your organization).

If you are working with a Partner, they can probably get the paperwork done for you :D

Best regards,

Jaime
