Hi all,
I inserted a code block to a page. When viewing the page, some of the rows contain a dot operator which is translated by confluence as link.
for example:
int n = MyClass.int_member
MyClass.int_member will appear as link. The address will be
page_location/MyClass.int_member
Can I prevent this behavior or fix it?
Thanks.
Hello Tsiki and welcome to the Community!
I created a Confluence page (Confluence 6.13), inserted a code macro and copied your example code provided below. The code came through without any included links. Here is a screenshot;
When you mention “is translated by Jira as a link”, can you provide further details as to what you mean by this?
Please include any screenshots available to help us understand where you are seeing the code block macro creating links. Along with which version of Confluence and Jira you are presently running.
Once we have further information and some screenshots of the issue we will attempt to further recreate the issue.
Regards,
Stephen Sifers
Hi Stephen,
I wrote JIRA but actually meant Confluence. Sorry about that. Edited my question.
Thanks.

Hello again Tsiki,
I re-tested within Confluence 6.9.1 and was able to re-create your reported issue. Any code within the code block macro with a period (.) will cause a URL to be created (valid or not).
However, in the latest version of Confluence, I can confirm this behavior has been removed. There are a few requests to resolve this issue. I attempted to find where the bug report or suggestion was that cause this to be corrected in the later version of Confluence but was unsuccessful. I am able to confirm within the latest version of Confluence, the URLs are not created within the code block macro.
Regards,
Stephen Sifers
