Using the confluence standard plan.
I have added the live search, excerpt and include excerpt marco to a page. After saving and publishing the page, I have enabled the public link.
In the public link of the page, the live search and other marcos are not working.
The macros say "You dont have access to see this content"
I need help to address this. I am not sure why the marco is not displaying the content.
I am unable to reach Atlassian support to fix this issue. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi @Anusha Joshi and welcome to the community!
According to this page the Excerpt macro should work with public links: How secure are public links? | Confluence Cloud | Atlassian Support
But there is also a known bug stating that it does not work.
The only suggested workaround is to add the information directly on the page which the public link points to.
I might not be able to help you to solve your problem but at least I can confirm that you are not doing it wrong.
Best regards,
/Staffan
Hi @Anusha Joshi and welcome to the community,
Excerpt from other pages and spaces will not be visible to guests. Think about it: You are sharing a page with content from a non public page. That would defy the whole space permissions and purpose of public links. So confluence behaves correctly in this case :)

That was my initial thought also. But according to the information on this page that is not the case.
"As long as your admins allow you to use public links, a public link will just work, regardless of any view restrictions. Public links ignore any restrictions to who can access a parent item, the space, and the site itself."
Share content externally with public links | Confluence Cloud | Atlassian Support
Am I missing something?

@Staffan Redelius the information is correct! The page restrictions on THIS specific page, are useless when you have made this page public. But this page has content from other pages, which are private and not expose to the public. Hence this is why your public page doesn't work as expected.

Public links are designed to share the content specific to that single page. In other words, they present the content of that page totally isolated from the rest of your Confluence content.
As a result, links, excerpts, etc. - anything that points to content that's not on that page cannot be displayed.
To expand on what @Alex Koxaras -Relational- said.
Imagine that an excerpt contains content that a regular Confluence user named Joe doesn't have access to. Joe will not be able to see that content if he opens the page in Confluence. If an excerpt's content was visible in the public link page, it would give anyone with the link more access rights than Joe has.
If you want to display selected Confluence content publicly - and as a single coherent and interconnected unit of content, you can make the space available to anonymous access.
If that is not an option, and/or you need to make only specific pages / sections of your space public, you'll need to use a marketplace app.
Disclaimer 1: I work at K15t and we make Confluence apps that allow users to do just that - Scroll Documents and Scroll Sites.
Dislcaimer 2: I used both apps in the past as a regular customer. Example: https://docs.emplifi.io/platform/latest/home/
