Hello,
I have a meeting notes page that I want to update regularly with the latest meeting notes. After editing the page today, I clicked the "Publish" button and I get the error:
"A page with this name already exists
Page names have to be unique within a space. Give your page a different name to publish it."
Well of course it exists, I'm trying to edit it. Confluence recognizes the edits as unpublished changes, but I'm unable to publish them. I am an admin and the only user who has used the page so far. I've tried logging out and back in, but no luck. Any ideas?
Thanks!
FYI -- I figured out a workaround. I just made a copy of the page, published it, and re-named it back to the original.
Hi Ian,
That sounds very frustrating indeed!
Have you made sure that your internet connection is uninterrupted? I think I've had this trouble when that happened. If you go into your Draft page and reopen the draft, does that fix it and allow you to publish?
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for the suggestion. I am still new to Confluence. I checked the Drafts and unfortunately the page didn't show up there (even though Confluence recognizes that the page has unpublished changes).
I figured out a workaround, though. I just made a copy of the page, published it, re-named it, and then re-named it back. Hopefully this is just a one-time fluke! Thanks.
