When editing or creating a new page in Confluence, I am unable to add images to my page. This includes:
- Pasting the image from clipboard
- Drag 'n drop images in the page
- Selecting the 'Add image/video/file' element through /image
It simply doesn't do anything. Pasting an image doesn't do anything, drag 'n drop opens the image in a new tab, and selecting the image/video/file element also doesn't do anything.
I also notice when editing pages, that already uploaded images are stuck in a loading state. I can only view the images once I'm done editing.
I can now also see this in the Console log:
Hi @Bryan
Ensure that you have permissions to add attachments. Images count as attachments.
Thank you Kristian, this was indeed the solution.

Hi @Bryan
Welcome to the community.
Is the behaviour the same in another browser or incognito window?
If it does, then this seems an instance related issue and raise your issue with Atlassian Support
