I have confluence Space ABC & I have provided permissions to 10+ groups and 100+ users individually with required permissions.
Now I am trying to add couple of users as "Individual Users", but the permissions page exists the editable page.
Users are available in the Individual Users search option, when user is selected and clicked on Add, the permission exists and the users are not added.
Users whom I am trying to add Individually are already part of groups which are permissioned and adding them individually to provide more permissions on the pace.
Hi @Ranganath HV Gowda, since you mentioned 10+ groups and 100+ users, you might have exceeded the maxParameterCount. The article below explains how you can check that in the logs and work around it, which should be primarily through groups.
For reference, there is also an open bug in the Atlassian ticket system related to this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-78120.
Cheers,
IL.
Hi @Ivan Lima - I accept it, as it was my general understanding on user permissions at space level.
I always recommend space administrators to manage users through groups instead of adding them individually.
Unfortunately space administrators forgets to manage space permissions when it comes to add/remove users.
Thanks :)
