Hi,
I want to avoid using the 'Create from Template' macro and instead use a Aura Panel that I can click to create a template My main reason for doing is because it allows me to add a picture.
I reviewed this answer:
https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-questions/URL-or-hyperlink-to-page-creation-via-template/qaq-p/819221
But in trying a few combinations, this doesn't seem to work for me. I either get the response:
1. "Your request could not be processed because a required security token was not present in the request. You may need to re-submit the form or reload the page." or
2. "Page not found"
What I thought would be correct based on the above URL answer's format is:
https://confluence.nz.service.ABC/pages/createpage-entervariables.action?templateId=1579778071&spaceKey=VWXYZ&title=HELLO&newSpaceKey=VWXYZ
I am aware I have used my space key twice though, so I'm not sure what "newSpaceKey" is asking for.
Bold: I've replaced my organisation (ABC) and key (VWXYZ) for privacy.
Template ID: I am going to "Space Tools", "Content Tools", "Templates" and clicking on my Template, then viewing the URL and copying the "Entity ID from here.
Title: I assume "&title" is what the page draft gets called?
Any advice? Or is it simply that my organisation is blocking this ability?
Hey @Aaron ,
I was playing with this on the cloud a while back but I'm not sure if I've actually managed to get it to work. I've tried re-creating this direct link to template the other day, but I got stuck at some point.
I've definitely seen a couple of use cases for it, so it would be beneficial for sure.
I don't have a DC instance to try this out, but from what I've managed to dig out from official resources, the path you've tried should work on-prem. 🤔
If no one chimes in here, you could maybe try reaching out official support team > they should definitely have insights about this, and if it's feasible on the current version of DC that you're using.
Cheers,
Tobi
