Hi Community,
I have a Confluence page with several images attached as files. On the page, I list all of them with the attachments-macro.
When I click on the thumbnail of an image, the image is opened in a preview window. This preview window has an URL something like this:
?pageId=187631473&preview=%2F187631473%2F187631476%2Fimage.JPG
Now I want to share that URL with somebody and expect that the page opens with that preview window open.
But when the receiver of the URL tries to open it (or even when I am trying it myself by copy-pasting the URL), only the raw page is opened, without the preview window.
In Confluence Server, this worked without any problems. Is this "feature" deprecated in Cloud?
Here is a screenshot of the preview window I'm talking about:
In cloud you can't share images like this. You have two options:
thanks for your quick response.
Maybe my explanation was a bit misleading: the person who receives the URL is in my organisation and has access to the page.
The "problem" is that, when he clicks the URL-link, the page is opened but not showing the preview of the image.

Ohh! Ok!
I see that you have clicked the "preview" or "view" button on the version of you image. However if you click on the actual e.g. "version 1" this will open the image with a full url like the following:
https://api.media.atlassian.com/file/c846d84e-5647-4748-b767-6d06fe0f62a6/binary?token=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJpc3MiOiIxYWY1MzY0Ny0xZGQ0LTRjNGMtYTQ2My04YjdhNDNmMjYxNTAiLCJhY2Nlc3MiOnsidXJuOmZpbGVzdG9yZTpmaWxlOmM4NDZkODRlLTU2NDctNDc0OC1iNzY3LTZkMDZmZTBmNjJhNiI6WyJyZWFkIl19LCJleHAiOjE2NzczMTQ2NjIsIm5iZiI6MTY3NzIzMTc0Mn0.b1Fg3CbyVNbeqg2baIzPvH6tn3KRyDQGxz4DlCpTH8U&client=1af53647-1dd4-4c4c-a463-8b7a43f26150&name=grant%20permissions.png
Can you try the above method and see if that's working?
In addition, on the preview you opened, there is also a share button. What about sharing it from there?

Thanks for your suggestions.
The full URL to the image works basically, but it leads to the raw image outside of the page context. The viewing person will not see it in the comfortable preview viewer anymore.
Concerning the Share-button, I have to be more precise: I don't want to share the link with certain persons, but I want to insert it in an instruction/user manual, in order to give anybody (with the required page permissions) the possibility to click the link and get to the image in the preview viewer.
Nevertheless I tried to share the image via Share-button just to get the link, but apparently I didn't receive it, not in my Confluence-notifications, not in my mails. What would be the expected result when sharing an image like that?
