Trying out Confluence Cloud Automation.
I have a very simple request:
Create a page with a "smart button" that can create an issue in Jira.
Yet what I find is:
When I add a smart button, I need to add a "template" (automation template, not page template). From that template I only see tasks that create 3 things. Not the one thing. So users create a Jira issue + Label + another confluence Page!
I can also click "..." -> Automation and then click on my rule. But I just want users to do one simple click.
I can make an automation that is "manually triggered" but that manual trigger doesn't seem to be done from adding a button.
Lastly the "+" Create Jira issue. Just creates 1 static issue on the page.
Why can't Smart buttons just run an Automation rule? I want the kitchen sink, not the whole Kitchen.
Currently this is indeed not possible, you can vote and follow this feature request; CONFCLOUD-79704
