My Confluence Cloud free site <removed>.atlassian.net was deactivated due to inactivity around March 2026. I received an email notification but unfortunately missed it. The site has now been completely removed from my admin panel — I can only see a different site <removed>.atlassian.net.
This site contained years of my personal work notes, life records, and critical documents. Losing this data would be devastating. I am desperate to recover it.
I understand that free plan data may be retained for a limited period after deactivation. I'm hoping the backup window has not yet closed, or that Atlassian may still have a copy in your backend systems.
Could an Atlassian team member please check if any backup or snapshot of <removed>.atlassian.net still exists? Even a partial data export would be extremely valuable.
I am willing to upgrade to a paid plan immediately if that helps facilitate the recovery process.

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear about this situation. I understand how frustrating it must be, especially if you had important content stored there.
Upon checking, it appears that your Confluence instance was permanently deleted on March 16, 2026, and unfortunately, it can no longer be recovered. Cloud products on the Free plan are deactivated after 40 days of inactivity, and once deactivated, data is retained for an additional 14 days before permanent deletion. It's worth noting that this policy only applies to personal domains.
I truly wish I had better news for you. I know losing access to your data is never easy, and I'm sorry I'm not able to offer a recovery option at this point.
Regards,
Samuil

Hope the support team can help you out - fingers crossed.
Just a reminder to make sure you back up your data once you get your site back! Even SaaS apps in the cloud need to be backed up.
