Often when editing a page with a table in it, the first column of the table I add to a page often reduced to a very narrow width. This happens even when I select fixed width for the page.
When I view the page in preview, the column width is correct, but as soon as I update the page the column width reduces to what appears to be a default minimum
@aarmst35 Have you tried selecting Fixed column widths in the Table options? If you do this and then adjust the columns to the desired widths, they should stick—even giving you a horizontal scroll bar in the table if you decrease the width of the browser window. See https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/simplify-data-with-tables/ for more information.
Hi @aarmst35 in my instance, using Edge, I'm not seeing that behavior. I took a quick look on Atlassian's Jira Site and didn't find anything that looked similar.
For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried different browsers or different PCs? Have you flushed your browser cache? Do other users have the same experience?
Does it happen for you every time you edit any table or just specific ones? If you create a brand new table does it happen?
Do you have any screenshots of this behavior you could post? Is there anything else that you can think of that would be unique about these tables? Were they imported from a document?
Is your Confluence License in the cloud a Standard, Premium, or Enterprise one? If you can repeat this behavior, it would be worth having your System Administrator open a new Work Item with Atlassian Support for their input
