1、PDF exports almost always fail the first time and need to be returned for a refresh
2、It's very common for PDF files to have images that don't display, which shouldn't be a problem
Actually... your answer @Liam - DevSamurai made me wonder....
@panmingwei - you and a lot of others were recently complained about PDF export issues - missing images, etc.
So I'm thinking... would reindexing the site work?
Now, as far as I know, reindexing a cloud site manually is not possible - can only be done by Atlassian Support.
But there's a workaround - importing a dummy space triggers a full site re-index.
I documented this little hack here: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-articles/Reindex-a-Confluence-Cloud-Site-manually-workaround/ba-p/3061612
Might be worth a try :)
Hi @panmingwei ,
For your first question about refreshing the page when exporting the PDF, I found that this bug has been resolved (CONFCLOUD-74930). You can follow this workaround:
There are different workarounds for this bug:
For all users, manually going to https://<Confluence-name-placeholder>.atlassian.net/wiki/welcome, should prompt the welcome option or perform some sort of "refresh", setting the user's cookie.
Once this is done, go back to the page(s), refresh them/the browser, and try exporting again.
Once the users go through the welcome prompt, there should have no need to access it again as the cookie should be set, allowing the export to work normally for any other pages.
About the second question about images in PDF files, you can follow these steps:
I hope it helps 🙌
