Hi,
We're using Confluence on a virtual-Machine.
This VM with confluence is our productive environment.
Is it possible to copy and start this productive environment(VM) and use
this copy as TEST-Platform?
e.g. for testing Confluence-Addons.
Or will there be problems with the Original Confluence-Key/Subscription?
Will it be deactivated?
Whats a alternative to this scenario?
Thanks
Hi @JERemy-IT ,
you should have a Developer license on your my.atlassian.com account for Confluence, you can use this as the license key for your test platform.
Even if you do use the production key for a while, it will not crash your server, it'll still work fine. As long as it's for a non-production environment you're good to go.
Let me know if this helps,
--Alexis
Hi Alexis,
thanks for the fast reply.
Where can i find this "Developer-License" ?
in my "Licensing-Portal"
I still have 2 Trial Licenses and
my Production-License called : Confluence (Server) 10 Users: Starter License
I won't use the trial license, because this will expire soon in the future.
Do you mean i should use the mentioned Starter License?
And set the Test environment to "Test-mode" ?

Hi @JERemy-IT ,
you can check the documentation here to get your developer license : https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-get-a-confluence-developer-license-152044449.html
You need to click on your Confluence production license and under the license key click on "View my developer license".
