Team member cannot access a space

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

Hello
We have a new team member (we are on a free subscription) and I have granted her access to both Jira and Confluence. We are below the limit on users, however when I invite her to a specific space, she cannot access it because the it says there are restrictions. I've checked absolutely everywhere and can't find where these restrictions are or why she can't access the space.
Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community @Naomi Vowels You are right - since you're on the free plan, you can't change the space permissions. If you go to Space Settings -> Space Permissions and check Groups permissions, just make sure that your user is part of the groups mentioned there.
