Tasks get automatically checked on a parent page when using excerpts

Hello!

I created a page with blocks of text which I wrapped into several excerpts. These text blocks contain tasks (checkboxes).

Problem:

When the box is checked on the page with Includes, it gets also automatically checked on the original page with the text blocks.

Question:

How can I avoid this?

@Elena Zarubina welcome to the Atlassian Community. The way the Excerpt Macro works is it mirrors the content from the original, it does not create a copy of that content. Hence, when you check the action item in the source page it will update everywhere else that the excerpt exists. The only work around would be to place your check boxes outside the excerpt on the page the content is being mirrored to.

Hi Andy. I have the opposite situation. I check the box in the copy page and it gets checked in the source. 

I want to create a check list (master template) and copies that will be filled in by users. So that when a user checks a box on his page, it doesn't change the master template.
