Hey community,
is there a way to tag a specific content/text in a cell (not a complete page) in a table in confluence and search for and sort by that tag? The idea is a kind of knowledge board for the company with certain topics that people want to learn more about or share their knowledge. So some kind of functionality where you can sort the list either by name or by topic (the topic being meant by tag) and also maybe by date would be great. And editing these tags in a separate space (but free for all within the company so anybody can add a topic, not just some adminstrator), so that they are always written in same way would help a lot.
Thanks for your help!
Hello Sarah,
Maybe a mix of table filtration with a column filled with some statuses will be useful in your case.
Hello there!
As I understand, the main need is to add labels to specific parts of the content within Confluence. Is that correct?
It looks like we need a better way of dealing with labels and creating a "database" of those for reference. For short, better organization.
Currently, this feature is not available for Confluence. The labeling feature applies to the whole content, not only parts of it. Also, the predefined labels are not available in Confluence. We can have a deeper look on labels here:
Add, Remove and Search for Labels
There are, however, third-party tools that allow you to define a set of labels for users to pick from. Such as:
Or something a little different, like:
Looking forward to your reply Sarah!
