Tables Sort by Date Incorrectly

There's a couple of threads on this, but none of the proposed solutions solve the issue, nor do I seem to have exactly the same issue.

tl;dr - A table with a column of dates, when told to sort that column, sorts by the numerical month, instead of by the actual date.  This results in things like this:

(Image shows column titled "Date Added to List" set to descending order sort, with the row values: 10/18/21, 7/1/13, 7/1/14, 7/1/14 - in that order.)

The correct order for these four entries would be:
10/18/21

7/1/14

7/1/14

7/1/13

Though, in the actual table, there's a few rows from 2019 which would actually appear between 10/18/21 and 7/1/14.

We can also suggest using our Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app and its Table Transformer macro to sort dates correctly.

For example, you may check this Community thread.

But again every table should be wrapped into the Table Transformer macro body.

That's useful as a work-around. I was not adding them via that method, because I was pasting tables in from elsewhere, and it can get tedious to have to go in there and manually perform a dozen clicks on every date.  

This table is currently small enough that it's manageable, so I've done so on this one. Future tables might have more values than would be realistic to contribute the work hours to that method.
