I am unable to resize the columns, for example i have 10 columns and first column (Column A) is relatively more of text, in this case not sure how to size the first column to push it to get more space for the column A.
Hi Vijay,
What version of Confluence are you working on? I'm on macOS as well, testing on Confluence Server version 6.7.0, and I'm able to click and drag the columns of my table for my needs. Can you let me know what's happening when you try to click and drag the columns?
You also mentioned in your title that you cannot resize the borders or margins but this is expected in Confluence. Could you show me what you're trying to do exactly with the table and let me know if you're using any table add-ons?
Regards,
Shannon
I have the same problem. I'm using Confluence version 5.9.2. I'm on a MacOS using Chrome browser Version 65.0.3282.167 if that helps.
I'm thinking maybe this is a bug. Is there a known workaround. I have table where I desperately need to edit the columns. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi @Vijay HS and @Jesus Valencia
Resizeable columns were introduced in 5.10:
Take control of your tables
Say goodbye to ugly tables, cry no more over that narrow, hard to read column. Get your table columns under control once and for all with our new resize options. Drag column borders to resize them and make your table look the way you want. For even more control you can pick a table mode from the table toolbar. Responsive adjusts the width to fit the page viewer's browser window, while fixed width keeps the exact width you set, regardless of the size of the browser window.
Therefore, if you were to upgrade to 5.10 or higher, then you will have the table resize options.
Jesus - I also wanted to make sure you were aware that the Chrome Beta is not a supported platform for Confluence, which could possibly cause you to run into issues in the future. That's not to say that it might not work perfectly for you, but it's always a possibility that it could cause an issue.
Let me know if you all have any questions!
Regards,
Shannon
