I have given TOC macro to the page with proper headings in body, TOC appear when page in edit mode and preview mode.
When i use the public link of the page the TOC not appearing after generating the public link.
NOTE: TOC only not appearing in public link
Give me the solution for this
Hello @Manjunath
I could not replicate the issue - I made one of my pages public and the TOC works
I have 3 theories
Theory One
Just to clarify something.... when you're refering to TOC, you mean the macro that displays links to the headings from the page itself?
Or do you mean links to child pages?
I'm only asking because many people refer to Child pages (child item) display and/or the navigation tree as TOC.
Since public links are strictly PER PAGE, they would not display content from other pages - not even via a macro. So in the case of TOC = child pages, that's just not possible.
Theory Two
Content on your page is shared from other pages in the form of excerpts. Again, it's a permission issues. Such content would not make it to the public link page, thus those elements would not be included in the TOC.
Theory Three
Some browser extensions MAY interfere with displaying the TOC macro (and other macros) HTML element.
So try loading the page in the incognito mode and/or a different browser.
Hey, @Kristian Klima, the issue was just reported as fixed by Atlassian. I refreshed my public page and the Table of Contents macro is now visible 😊
